THOMAS ELLIS (d. 1690)
MARY WIGHT (d. 1693), daughter of Thomas Wight and Alice Unknown
Thomas Ellis died on 12 December 1690 in Medfield, Norfolk County, Massachusetts. [1] He married Mary Wight on 21 May 1657. [2][3]
Mary, the wife of Thomas Ellis, died on 7 March 1692/3 in Medfield. [1]
Mary's father refers to her as the wife of Thomas Ellis in his will of 7 February 1673/3 and left a bequest to her daughter Judith Ellis. [2]
Inventory on Thomas's estate was taken on 30 October 1690 and amounted to £193-16-00. Samuel Ellis, the administrator made oath to it on 29 January 1690/1. He posted bond on 31 March 1692. A 10 June 1697 estate paper has the apparent heirs written on the back: Judith Rockett, Mary Adams, Abiel Barbur, the children of Patience Adams, Ruth Ellis, and Johanna Ellis. [4]

i. Judith Ellis was born on 15 April 1658. She married Benjamin Rockwood.
ii. Mary Ellis was born on 26 September 1660. She died in 1717. [2] She married Jonathan Adams on 20 March 1677 in Medfield. [1][2] He died on 24 January 1718/9. [2]
iii. Abiel Ellis was born on 15 October 1662. She died on 14 April 1716. [2] She married Zechariah Barbour on 30 August 1683 in Medfield. [1][2]
iv. Samuel Ellis was born on 9 November 1664. He died in 1712. [2] He married Deborah, the daughter of Alexander Lovell of Medfield. [2] She was born in 1675 and died in 1740. [2]
v. Thomas Ellis was born on 10 January 1666. He died on 25 May 1670 in Medfield. [1]
vi. Patience Ellis was born on 22 February 1668/9. She married Henry Adams on 10 December 1691 in Medfield. [1] Henry was the brother of Patience's brother-in-law Jonathan Adams. [2]
After the death of Patience, Henry moved to Canterbury, Windham County, Connecticut. [2]
vii. Ruth Ellis was born on 31 October 1670.
viii. Thomas Ellis was born on 24 July 1674. He died on 17 June 1692 in Medfield. [1]
ix. Johanna Ellis was born on 17 January 1677/8. She married Deacon Nathaniel Rocket on 7 December 1698 in Medfield. [1, also recorded in Wrentham][2] Nathaniel was born on 23 February 1665 and died on 24 September 1721. [2]
