Lieutenant John Sanborn (c. 1621–1692), son of Unknown Sanborn and Ann Bachiler

John Sanborn (Samborne) died on 20 October 1692, age 71. [1] He married first Mary Tucke. [2] He married second Margaret (Page) Moulton, the daughter of Robert Page of Moulton and the widow of William Moulton. [2]
Mary Tucke died on 30 December 1668. [1]
Mary is refered to as Mary Samborne in the division of her father's estate. [1]
John was selectman for eight years and commissioner for small causes for four years. [1]
Children of John Sanborn and Mary Tucke:
i. John Sanborn was born about 1649. [1] He died on 23 September 1727. [3] He married Judith Coffin. [1] Judith, the daughter of Tristam Coffin of Newbury, was born on 4 December 1653 and died on 17 May 1724. [3]
ii. Mary Sanborn was born on 12 April 1651. [1] She probably died by 19 Marcy 1657.
iii. Abial Sanborn was born on 23 February 1653. [1] She married Ephraim Marston. [1]
iv. Richard Sanborn was born on 4 January 1655. [1] He married first Ruth Moulton. [3] Ruth, the daughter of William Moulton of Hampton, died on 3 May 1685. [3] Richard married second Mary (Drake) Boulter, the daughter of Abraham Drake of Hampton and the widow of Nathaniel Boulter, Jr. of Hampton. [3]
v. Mary Sanborn was born on 19 March 1657. [1] She died young. [1]
vi. Joseph Sanborn was born on 13 March 1659. [1] He died in 1722/4. [3] He married Mary, the daughter of Edward Gove of Hampton, on 28 December 1682. [3] She married second Unknown Morrill of Salisbury, from whom she separated. [3]
vii. Stephen Sanborn was born on 12 November 1661. [1] He died young. [1]
viii. Ann Sanborn was born on 20 November 1662. [1] She married Samuel Palmer. [1]
ix. Nathaniel Sanborn was born on 27 November 1666. [1] He died on 9 November 1723. [3] He married first Rebecca, the daughter of James Prescott, on 3 December 1691. [3] She died on 17 August 1704. [3] He married second Sarah Nason. [3] Sarah was born in 1663 and died on 1 September 1748. [3]
x. Benjamin Sanborn was born on 20 December 1668. He married Sarah Worcester.
Children of John Sanborn and Margaret Page:
xi. Captain Jonathan Sanborn was born on 25 May 1672 in Hampton. [4] He died after 4 January 1741, when he made his will. [4] He married Elizabeth Sherburne on 4 February 1691/2. [4]
Jonathan was a well-known Indian fighter and a large landowner. [4]
