Deliverance Wilson (1687–1726), daughter of Joseph Wilson and Deliverance Jackson


Daniel Squire was born on 3 August 1686 in Cambridge, Middlesex County, Massachusetts. [1] Daniel of Cambridge married Deliverance Wilson of Cambridge on 5 July 1710 in Watertown, Middlesex County, Massachusetts. [1][2][3]

According to his father's estate records, Daniel died before 27 November 1747, leaving no estate.

Deliverance, the daughter of Joseph and Deliverance Wilson, was born on 11 October 1687 in Newton, Middlesex County. [3] She died, apparently in childbirth, on 17 April 1726 and is buried in the Plains Cemetery in Franklin, New London County. Deliverance, the wife of Daniel Squire, died on 17 April 1726, age 36, and is buried in the Franklin Plains Cemetery. [4]

Deliverance’s gravestone, sunk partially into the ground, says, “Deliverance Squire la [piece of stone missing] wife of Mr Daniel Squire who died April ye 17 1726 aged 37 [rest in the ground].” [4]

Deliverance’s father calls her Deliverance Squire in his will of 30 September 1724.

Children of Daniel Squire and Deliverance Wilson:

i. Abigail Squire was baptized on 6 May 1711 in Cambridge. [1] She married William Spring on 19 February 1730 in Newton. [3] He may be the William who died on 22 April 1754 in Newton [3]

ii. Mary Squire was baptized on 17 January 1713/4 in Cambridge. [1] Mary of Watertown married Zacheus Hill on 6 November 1735 in Newton. [3]

iii. Deliverance Squire was born on 13 December 1715 in Cambridge. She died on 31 October 1782 in Pomfret, Windham County, Connecticut. She married Captain Joseph Kingsbury.

iv. Daniel Squire was born on 26 July 1718 in Cambridge. [1] He died on 26 March 1783, age 65, and is buried in the Plains Cemetery in Franklin. [4][5]

v. John Squire was born on 3 March 1720/1 in Cambridge. [1]

vi. Abiel Squire was born on 17 April 1726 in Norwich, New London County. [6] Abiel of Norwich married Rebecca Lothrop of Norwich on 8 June 1752 in Norwich. [6]
