William Bennett of Windham in Windham County made his will on 9 March 1762. He witnesses testified on 24 September 1764 and probate was in October. He left his wife Sarah the use of all his household goods, a lower room, a chamber, and garret in his house. She was to have use of the oven, firewood, two cows and a riding horse. He left detailed instructions for how she was to be provisioned: the amounts of corn, rye, wheat, barley malt, cider, apples, pork, good beef, beans, turnips, rum, sugar and molasses she was to receive. He specified that if she was ill she was to have a nurse and doctor. He left his household goods (after his wife's decease) and money to his daughters Sarah Howard, Lucy Burnam, Mary Woodward, Lydia March, Jane Burnam, Eunice Smith, Elizabeth Bennett, and Hannah Bennett.
