Thomas Fuller (1644–1716/8), son of Lieutenant Thomas Fuller and Elizabeth Tidd

Ruth Richardson (1647–by 1699), daughter of Thomas Richardson and Mary Unknown

Martha Durkee (1668–aft. 1716), daughter of William Durkee and Martha Cross

Thomas, the son of Thomas, was born on 22 or 30 April 1644 in Woburn, Middlesex County, Massachusetts. [1][2] He died between 27 November 1716 and 6 May 1718 in Windham County, Connecticut. He probably married first Ruth Richardson. [3, no first name][4] He married second Martha Durkee on 19 July 1699 in Salem, Essex County, Massachusetts. [5, missing first name][3, "Durgee"]

Ruth, the daughter of Thomas Richardson, was born on 14 April 1647 in Woburn. [2] She died by 19 July 1699, probably in Salem.

Martha, the daughter of William Durkee, was born in August 1668 in Ipswich, Essex County. [6] She died after 27 November 1716.

Thomas's grandfather John Tidd mentioned his grandsons Thomas Fuller and John Kendall in his will of 9 April 1656. He left them a 16-acre lot he had purchased from Thomas Chamberlain and a patch of meadow lying in Step Rock. [7]

At some point after 1702, Thomas went to Windham, perhaps with his brother-in-law Thomas Durkee and Robert Moulton, whose daughter later married Thomas's son Stephen.

Thomas settled on Hampden Hill about 1715 and was a tavern keeper. [8] In 1721 his widow was allowed to keep a public house. [8]

Thomas Fuller, plowwright of Windham, made his will on 27 November 1716. He mentioned his wife Martha Fuller, his five sons in Salem Village—Thomas, Jonathan, John, Joseph, and William Fuller, his loving cousin Sarah, the daughter of John Durkee, and his son Stephen Fuller. Inventory was taken by Robert Moulton and Thomas Durkee. His will was proved on 6 May 1718 and Thomas Durkee was appointed guardian to Stephen Fuller, a minor of 16. [9]

Children of Thomas Fuller and Ruth Richardson: Births recorded in Salem as the children of Thomas and Ruth. [5]

i. Thomas Fuller was born on 3 (2) 1671. He died in 1753 in Middleton (previously part of Salem). [8] He married the widow Elizabeth Andrews in May 1693 or 1694 in Salem. [5] Elizabeth, the daughter of John and Mary (Small) Buxton and granddaughter of Anthony Buxton, was born on 13 August 167_ in Salem. [10] She married first ___ Andrews.

Elizabeth is called Elizabeth Fuller in her father's will of 15 April 1715. [10]

Thomas made his will on 9 January 1738/9; it was proved on 6 August 1753. He mentioned his wife Elizabeth, sons Joseph and Timothy, and daughters Elizabeth Putnam, Ruth Knight, Mary Fuller, and Lydia Peabody. [8]

ii. Jonathan Fuller was born on 19 (7) 1673. He died between 3 January 1752 and 1758 in Sutton, Worcester County, Massachusetts. [8] He married Susanna Trask on 3 January 1694 in Salem. [11] Susanna, the daughter of William and Ann (Putnam) Trask, was born on 3 (9) 1676 in Salem. [5]

Jonathan moved to Sutton about 1742. [8]

William wrote his will on 3 January 1752; it was proved in 1758. He mentioned his son Jonathan, his adopted son Samuel Trask, and his daughters Sarah Wilkins, Ruth Putnam, deceased, Susanna Sadler, Anna Putnam and Eunice Walton. [8]

iii. John Fuller was born on 22 (11) 1676. He married Phebe Symonds.

iv. Joseph Fuller was born on 12 August 1679. He died on 27 March 1748 in Middleton. [8] He married first Rachel Buxton on 10 April 1711 in Salem. [5] Rachel was the daughter of John and Elizabeth (Holton) Buxton and the half-sister of the wife of Joseph's brother Thomas. [10] She was born on 6 May 1688 in Salem. [10] She had a son Joseph on 28 February 1711/2 in Salem and died a week later on 6 March 1711/2 in Salem. [5][10] Joseph married second Susanna Dorman of Topsfield after 8 August 1713 (intention). [5] She died on 6 October 1765, age 84. [8]

Rachel's father John left a bequest to his grandson Joseph Fuller, when he came of age. [10] Davis points out that the 1717 record of John Putnam marrying Rachel Buxton is probably an error. He probably married Rachel's sister Lydia. [10]

Timothy made his will on 19 February 1747; inventory was taken on 23 May 1748. He mentioned his wife Susanna, his unmarried daughters Rachel and Ruth, and his sons Joseph, Thomas, Amos, and Ephraim. [8]

v. William Fuller was born on 30 November 1685. He married Elizabeth Goodale on 16 October 1714 in Salem. [5] He married second Deborah Hill. [3][8]

vi. Stephen Fuller was baptized on 18 October 1702 in Salem. He died on 27 April 1767 in Hampton, Windham County, Connecticut. He married Hannah Moulton.
