John Packer (1657–1701), son of John Packer and Elizabeth Unknown

Lydia Latham (say 1658–by 1679), daughter of Cary Latham and Elizabeth Masters

John Packer was born in February 1656/7. [1] He died in 1701. [1] married first Lydia, the daughter of Cary Latham. [1] John, Jr. married second Sarah Miller, the daughter of George Miller, on 10 March 1686 in Groton. [1]

Lydia Latham was born say 1658. She died before 10 March 1686.

John Packer of New London made his will on 4 December 1700 and a witness testified on 6 June 1701. He mentioned his wife Sarah and his daughters Elizabeth, Lydia, Sarah and Bathsua and his son John. He says that Bathsua is under 18 years old. [2]

Children of John Packer and Lydia Latham:

i. Elizabeth Packer was born on 25 March 1679 in New London. She died in February 1758. She married Christopher Darrow.

ii. Lydia Packer was born on 10 January 1681 in New London. [3]

Children of John Packer and Sarah Miller, births recorded, as the children of John, Jr. and Sarah, in Groton: [3]

iii. Sarah Packer was born on 7 October 1689.

iv. John Packer was born on 3 May 1693. He may be the John Packer of Groton who was burned to death on 24 April 1765, age about 80, when his barn was destroyed. [4]

v. Bathsua Packer was under 18 on 4 December 1700.
