JOSEPH NEWTON, son of Joseph Newton and Margaret Presbury

Joseph Newton married Ann Odell in 1719/20. [Ref]. The Ann who married Joseph Newton was a daughter of Thomas Odell 2nd. [Ref]
Ann Odell was born in 18 Nov 1703, probably in Prince George's country. [Ref] She died between 13 Oct 1771, when she signed her will, and 20 Dec 1771, when it was proved. [Ref]
Joseph emigrated to West River, Ann Arundel county. [Ref] His home in Maryland was called Newton's Point. [Ref]
Her father left Ann a bequest that included 150 pounds, a ten-pound legacy from her grandfather and an enslaved girl named Grace in his will of 29 April 1717. Ann is referred to as not yet 16.
Children of Joseph Newton and Ann Odell: The first five are recorded in the Piscataway Parish register, Prince George's county.
i. Sarah Newton was born on 28 August 1721 in St. John's Parish, Prince George's County. She died in 1791. She married Stephen Newton Chiswell.
