JEREMIAH PLYMPTON (b. 1683), son of Joseph Plympton and Mary Morse
ELIZABETH JOHNSON (b. 1681)
Jeremiah Plympton (Plimpton) is probably the son of Joseph and Mary Plympton, born on 8 November 1683 in Medfield, Norfolk County, Massachusetts. [1, 80][2] He married Elizabeth Johnson in 1704. [2]
It is possible that Elizabeth is the Elizabeth, daughter of Return and Mary Johnson, born on 10 August 1681 in Medfield. [1, 64][3]
Return Johnson, "Doct: of Physick" and husband of Mary, died on 15 March 1706/7 in Medfield. [1, 219] Return Johnson married Mary Johnson on 7 September 1673 in Andover. [4, 2: 201]
Jeremiah and Elizabeth went to Canterbury, Windham County, Connecticut. [3]
Jeremiah Plympton of Dorchester bought land in the south of Canterbury, “with buildings and fences,” from Jeremiah Fitch in 1706. [5]
In 1714 Jeremiah Plympton sold land in Canterbury to Edward Rainsford. [6]
Children of Jeremiah Plympton and Elizabeth Johnson:
i. Sarah Plympton was born 17 October 1709 in Canterbury. [7]
ii. Sabillah Plympton was born 20 August 1712 in Canterbury. She married Moses Johnson.
iii. Bette Plympton was born on 25 September 1720 in Plainfield. [7]
