WILLIAM CHAMBERLAIN (c. 1620–1706)

William was born aabout 1620. He died on 31 May 1706, age about 86. [Ref] He married Rebecca Unknown. [Ref] She was the mother of the four last children "perhaps of more." [Ref]
Savage says that Rebecca died on 26 September 1692, in prison of the preposterous charge of witchcraft. [Ref]
One thousand and five hundred acres lying north of Concord in present-day Billerica was conveyed to Deputy Governor Thomas Dudley, and on 28 February 1651/2 he sold this land to Thomas Chamberlain, James Parker, and Isaac Learned of Woburn for 110 pounds. These three men became citizens of adjoining Chelmsford. [Ref] Thomas was probably William's brother. [Ref]
William was one of the earliest inhabitants of Billerica; he probably came from Woburn. [Ref]

i. Timothy Chamberlain was born on 13 August 1649 in Concord.
ii. Isaac Chamberlain was born on 1 October 1650 in Concord. He died on 20 July 1681. [Ref]
iii. John Chamberlain (probable son) was born in 1650/3. He died on 1 April 1712. [Ref] He married Deborah Jaco [?] on 6 December 1681. [Ref] She died on 24 February 1703/4. [Ref]
iv. Sarah Chamberlain was born on 18 January 1656 in Billerica. She died on 17 January 1735/6. [Ref] She married John Shed on 9 January 1767/7. [Ref] Joh, the son of Daniel Shed, was born on 2 March 1655 and died on 31 January 1736/7. [Ref]
v. Jacob Chamberlain was born on 18 January 1657/8 in Billerica.
vi. Thomas Chamberlain was born on 20 February 1659/60 in Billerica.
vii. Edmund Chamberlain was born on 15 July 1660 in Billerica. [!] He married first Mercy Abbott, the widow of John of Woburn, who died on 27 February 1697/8. [Ref] He married second Sarah Forbush of Reading on 17 January 1717. [Ref]
viii. Rebecca Chamberlain was born on 25 February 1662 in Billerica. She married Thomas Stearns.
ix. Abraham Chamberlain was born on 6 January 1664 in Billerica.
x. Ann Chamberlain was born on 3 March 1665.6 in Billerica.
xi. Clement Chamberlain was born on 30 May 1669 in Billerica. He married Mary Unknown. [Ref]
xii. Daniel Chamberlain was born on 27 September 1671 in Billerica. He married Mary Unknown. [Ref]
xiii. Isaac Chamberlain was born on 20 January 1681 in Billerica.
