David Thomas died by 21 September 1689.

Joanna died after 3 October 1689.

Inventory of the estate of David Thomas, Sr. of Middleborough, Plymouth County, Massachusetts was taken by Lieutenant John Tompson and Samuel Wood on 21 September 1689. His widow, Joanna, took oath to it and was granted administration on 3 October 1689. She and her sons David and Jeremiah Thomas posted bond the same day. [1][2]

David and his wife came from Salem, Essex County, Massaachusetts to Middleborough soon after 1668. [3]

Children of David and Joanna Thomas:

i. David Thomas was born about 1650. He died between 14 February 1732/3, when he made his will, and 12 July 1733, when it was proved. [4] He married first Abigail Wood, the daughter of Henry and Abigail (Jenney) Wood and granddaughter of John and Sarah (Cary) Jenney, about 1675. [4] He married second Elizabeth Kannedy of Plympton on 25 June 1718 in Middleborough. [4]

David Thomas, age about 60, was baptized and received into communion at the First Church in Middleborough on 24 August 1710. [5] Elizabeth Thomas, Sr., wife of brother David, was admitted to the church by virtue of a letter of dismissal from the church at Plympton. [5]

ii. Joanna Thomas was probably born in 1657 in Salem or Marblehead. [6] Joanna, the wife of Captain Joseph died on 11 April 1718, age 61, in Middleborough. [7] She married Captain Joseph Vaughan, on 7 May 1680 in Middleborough. [6][7][8]

iii. Jeremiah Thomas was born about 1660. He died on 2 February 1736 in Middleborough. He married Lydia Howland.

iv. William Thomas was born about 1665. He died on 5 April 1734, age 69, and is buried in the old cemetery at The Green in Middleborough. [9] He married Susanna Pratt. [3]

Susanna, the wife of William, was admitted to the First Church in Middleborough on 9 September 1710. [3]

v. Edward Thomas was born on 6 February 1669 in Middleborough. [3][8] He married Abigail, the daughter of Henry Wood, between 1670 and 1675. [3]
