MOSES SIMONSON (say 1605–1689/91)

Moses was born say 1605. He died between 17 June 1689 and 10 September 1691. [GMB] He married Sarah ___ by about 1635.

Sarah ___ was born say 1612.

Moses arrived from Leiden on the Fortune in November 1621. [PPP]

Land was divided in Plymouth in 1623, with each household receiving an acre per member. Moses Simonson and Philippe de la Noye, who also arrived on the Fortune in November 1621 shared a two-acre lot. [PPP][DDD]

On 20 April 1669 Moses, planter of Duxbury, deeded his dwelling house and land land in Duxbury to his son John. [GMB] on 30 December 1674 Moses, yeoman of Duxbury deeded land at Namaskett to his eldest daughter Rebecca and her husband John Soule. [GMB] On 4 December 1678 Moses, Sr., yeoman of Duxbury, deeded land in Dartmouth to his son Aaron. [GMB]

Moses made his will on 17 June 1689; it was proved on 15 September 1691. He left bequests to his daughter Mary, the wife of Joseph Alden; his daughter Elizabeth, the wife of Richard Dwelley; his daughter Sarah, the wife of James Nash; his son John. Inventory was taken on 10 September 1691. [GMB]

i. Rebecca Simonson died about 1674. She married John Soule.

ii. Moses Simonson was born say 1639. [GMB] He married Patience, the daughter of William Barstow. [GMB]

iii. Mary Simonson was born say 1641. [GMB] She married Joseph Alden.

iv. John Simonson was born say 1644. [GMB] He married Mercy Pabodie on 16 November 1669 in Duxbury. [GMB][VRD]

v. Sarah Simonson was born say 1649. [GMB] She married James Nash.

vi. Elizabeth Simonson was born say 1651. [GMB] She married Richard Dwelley.

vii. Aaron Simonson was born say 1653. [GMB] He married Mary, the daughter of Walter Woodworth. [GMB]
