William Beamon (c. 1608–1699)

Lydia Danforth (bp. 1625–1686), daughter of Nicholas Danforth and Elizabeth Barber

William Beamon was born about 1608. He died on 4 February 1698/9 in Saybrook. [1] He married Lydia, the daughter of Nicholas Danforth, on 9 December 1643 in Saybrook. [1]

Lydia Danforth was baptized on 24 May 1625 in Framingham, county Suffolk. [2] She died on 16 August 1686 in Saybrook. [1]

Anderson et al. [2] and others confidently assert that William's wife Lydia was the daughter of Nicholas Danforth. However, primary sources are lacking.

William migrated to New England on the Elizabeth in 1635. [1] He had resided most recently in Bridgenorth, Shropshire. [1]

William first resided in Salem. He moved to Saybrook by 1643. [1] He was a freeman on 20 May 1652 in Connecticut Colony. [1]
