He and Mercy Norton of Edgartown made their intention of marriage on 22 September 1744 in Scituate. [1] They were married on 24 October 1744 in Edgartown. [5] Mercy died by March 1754.

Zebulon wade was a mariner and the following story is from an account by Richard H. Benson [5]. In the late spring of 1750 Captain Zebulon Wade set sail in the brand-new 75-ton ship The Three Sisters. He and another ship came upon a Spanish vessel—loaded with silver bars—wrecked off of Cape Hatteras. He and the other ship captain persuaded the captain of the Spanish vessel to let them transport the silver to Havana and then made off to the West Indies. A 1748 peace treaty meant that the Spanish vessel was no longer fair game, although perhaps Zebulon and the other captain were not aware of this. The allegedly buried the silver on the island St. Eustatius. Unfortunately for Zebulon, he was intercepted by the authorities, but was said to have bought his freedom.

Zebulon moved to Beaufort County, North Carolina. Mercy died before he made his undated will. Zebulon refers to himself as very sick and and weak in the will, which was probated in March 1754. [5]

[11] Eunice Studley, the wife of Simeon, died on 15 December 1804 in Scituate. [1] She married second Captain William Russell of Boston on 28 January 1784. [1]

On 5 February 1775 Israel Litchfield wrote in his diary that at the church meeting they prayed for Simeon. He was " ... very weak. It is thought he is consumptive." [12]

Simeon, yeoman of Scituate, wrote his will on 9 March 1775. He said that he was" under infirmity of body" and mentioned his wife Eunice and his children. On 29 April 1786 Eunice Russell, formerly Eunice Wade, affirmed the inventory on Simeon's estate. [10]
