The identity of Rachel Joy is unknown. There was a Joy family in Hampton. Samuel Joy (probably roughly the age to be Rachel's brother) had a son Jeremiah Joy baptized on 24 October 1697 in Hampton. [4]
Children of Simon Knowles and Unknown:
i. Simon Knowles was born on 18 March 1696 in Hampton. [5] He died on 22 April 1753 in North Hampton. [5]
Children of Simon Knowles and Rachel Joy:
ii. Rachel Knowles was born on 10 June 1701 in Hampton. [5] She died on 25 May 2767, leaving no children. [5]
iii. Joseph Knowles was born on 22 January 1705 in Hampton. [5] He married first Catherine, the daughter of Richard Taylor. [5] He probably married second Lydia Randall on 12 January on 1778. [5]
iv. Ruth Knowles was born on 30 September 1707 in Hampton. She married Joseph French.
v. Jonathan Knowles was born on 22 August 1710 in Hampton. [5]
Jonathan lived in Little River. [5]
vi. Abigail Knowles was born on 25 August 1718 in Hampton. [5] She died on 5 August 1745, unmarried. [5]
