Unknown Hall

Mary ___

Mary ___ married Unknown Hall. [1]

Mary is mentioned in the 1653 will of William Wilcox of Cambridge. Click here to see a transcription and discussion. William calls her "my sister the widow Hall" and leaves her and her children William and Susan small bequests. However, he also leaves small bequests to "brothers" who are brothers in Christ and he leaves a more substantial bequest to "the Children of my deare sister, Christian Boiden." It is, thus, not entirely clear whether Mary is a biological sister. [2]

Mary joined the church in Cambridge in 1652. [1]

In 1662 the widow Mary Hall received land in Cambridge. After the death of her son William in 1667, she asked the court to order a division of his property for her benefit. It appears that she had assigned him property in return for his supporting her and that she had been living with him. [3]
