Richard was a tallow chandler of Downham Market at the time he made his will on 12 July 1587.

ii. William Goodale was born say 1537. He died between 1546, when he was mentioned in his father's will, and 1587, when he was not named in his brother's will.

iii. Thomas Goodale the Elder was born say 1539.

iv. John Goodale was baptized on 5 August 1541 in Fincham St. Martin. He died between 1546, when he was mentioned in his father's will, and 1587, when he was referred to as deceased in his brother's will.

v. Thomas Goodale the Younger was baptized in March 1544/5 in Fincham St. Martin. He died after 1593. He married Ellin ___. Ellin, the wife of Thomas was buried on 12 November 1593

Thomas Goodale the Elder was born say 1539. He was buried on 24 August 1579 in Great Yarmouth. He married Em ___. She probably married second William Goose on 21 Septmber 1579. He married first Alice Harding on 19 January 1572/3. She was buried on 1 July 1579.

In 1579 Yarmouth was hit by a terrible plague. Between May and September about 2,000 people, including Thomas and three of his childen, died.

Thomas made his will on 20 August 1579; it was proved on 6 December 1579.

v. Katheryn Goodale was baptized on 12 March 1568/9. She was buried on 5 August 1579.

vii. Robert Goodale was baptized on 25 November 1573. He died after 1625, when he was mentioned in his brother's will.

viii. Jeffery Goodale was baptized on 23 February 1575/6. He was buried on 30 July 1579.

ix. Alice Goodale was baptized on 6 June 1578. She was buried on 12 August 1579.

vi. Rebecca Goodale was baptized on 2 July 1598. She married the widower Walter Moorefleete on 21 June 1626 in Yarmouth. [2]
