Hannah Moulton (1699–1782), daughter of Robert Moulton and Hannah Groves


Stephen, the son of Thomas and Martha Fuller, was baptized on 18 October 1702 in Salem.[1] He married Hannah Moulton on 1 January 1723/4 in Windham, Windham County, Connecticut. [2]

Hannah, the daughter of Robert Moulton, Jr. and Hannah Groves, was born on 1 August 169_ [1699?] in Salem, Essex County, Massachusetts. [1]

Hannah is referred to as Hannah Fuller in her father's will of 22 January 1755.

Stephen and Hannah owned the covenant in the church in Hampton, Windham County on 13 December 1724. [3]

Hannah and her husband Stephen were admitted to the church in Hampton on 14 December 1735. [3]

Stephen Fuller of Windham in Windham County made his will on 17 April 1767. He left his wife Hannah half his real estate for her live, one-third his movable estate and his livestock for her widowhood. He left his sons Stephen, Thomas and Aaron equal shares of his real estate, the remainder of his personal and movable estate and notes due. He left his daughter Martha Farnam 30 pounds, His daughter Hannah Fuller 30 pounds, his daughter Mary Farnam 26 pounds, and his daughter Alice Abbott 27 pounds and ten shillings. He left his granddaughters Abigail and Lois Hammond, the children of his deceased daughter Abigail, 33 pounds. He named his wife and his son Thomas his executors. His witnesses testified on 14 May 1767; probate was in July 1767. Inventory on his estate, presented on 24 May 1767, amounted to about 1,074 pounds. A division was agreed in September 1767. [5]

Bond was posted on the estate of Hannah Fuller and inventory was taken on 27 June 1782. [5]

Children of Stephen Fuller and Hannah Moulton: Births recorded in Windham as the children of Stephen and Hannah. [2] Baptisms were recorded in the Hampton Congregational Church. [3]

i. Martha Fuller was born on 7 September 1724. She was baptized on 13 December 1724 in Windham Village. She died on 16 April 1792, probably in Hampton. [4] She married William Farnam on 23 July 1742 in Windham. [2] He died on 29 October 1800, probably in Hampton. [4]

Martha was admitted to the Congregational Church in Hampton on 15 November 1741. [3]

William and Martha are buried in the Old Litchfield Cemetery in Hampton. [4]

ii. Hannah Fuller was born on 20 October 1725 in Windham. She was baptized on 1[!] October 1725. She died on 24 July 1809. She married first David Fuller. She married second Nathan Denison.

iii. Mary Fuller was born on 9 March 1726/7. She was baptized on 16 [blurred] April 1727. Mary, the wife of Zebediah, died on 20 July 1802, probably in Hampton. [4] She married Zebediah Farnam on 27 July 1743 in Windham. [2] Zebediah, the son of William and Hannah Farnam, was baptized in 1721 in the Congregational Church in Hampton. [3]

Mary is buried in the Old Litchfield Cemetery in Hampton. [4]

Mary was admitted to the Congregational Church in Hampton on 6 September 1741; William was admitted on 3 January 1742. [3]

iv. Abigail Fuller was born on 6 September 1728. She died before 17 April 1767, when she is referred to as deceased in her father's will. She married Stephen Hammond on 19 December 1749. [2]

Abigail was admitted to the Congregational Church in Hampton on 4 July 1742. [3]

v. Captain Stephen Fuller was born on 30 November 1730. He was baptized on 6 December 1730. He died on 24 May 1813, probably in Sheshequin, Bradford County, Pennsylvania. [4] He married Mary Abbott on 17 October 1751 in Windham. [2] Mary the daughter of Phillip and Abigail (Bigford) Abbott,was born on 6 July 1732 in Windham. [2] She died of pleurisy after six days illness on 5 May 1803 in Sheshequin. [4]

Stephen and Mary are buried in the Sheshequin Valley Cemetery in Sheshequin.

Stephen Fuller, Jr. and his wife Mary acknowledged receipt from Abiel Abbott of their legacy to them from Mary's father Phillip Abbott on 14 December 1751. The refer to their mother Abigail Abbott. [5]

Stephen and his wife Mary were admitted to the Congregational Church in Hampton on 11 November 1753. [3]

Stephen and Mary were part of the group from Windham County who went to Wyoming Valley in Pennsylvania. Stephen was a captain and took part in the Battle of Wyoming. His son Stephen also took part and was one of those massacred. [4]

vi. Lieutenant Thomas Fuller was born on 10 June 1732. He was baptized on 11 June 1732. He died on 13 November 1813, probably in Hampton. He married Sarah Griffin on 19 January 1757 in Windham. [2] Sarah, the daughter of Ebenezer and Hannah Griffin, was born on 12 August 1786 in Windham. [2]

vii. Captain Aaron Fuller was born on 26 January 1733/4. He died on 27 February 1809, probably in Hampton. He was baptized on 26 May 1734. He married Sarah Holt on 15 March 1755 in Windham. [2] Sarah, the daughter of Zebediah and Sarah (Flint) Holt, born on 13 February 1736/7 in Windham. [2]

Aaron and his wife Sarah owned the covenant on 16 July 1758 in the Congregational Church in Hampton. [3]

viii. John Fuller was born on 13 March 1739/40 in Windham. He was baptized on 30 March 1740. [2] He died before 17 April 1767, when he was not mentioned in his father's will.

ix. Alice Fuller was born on 22 [    ] 1741 in Windham. [2] She married John Abbott on 4 November 1762 in Windham. [2] John, the son of Phillip and Abigail (Bigford) Abbott, was born on 27 September 1741 in Windham. [2] He died in August 1788. [4]

John Abbott was one of those killed in the Battle of Wyoming. [4] "Mrs. John Abbott and Mrs. Thomas Fuller, each with nine children and utterly destitute begged their way back to their Windham homes. Mrs. Stephen Fuller came on horseback, with her little daughter Polly." [6]
