ENSIGN WIlLIAM NICKERSON (1701–1742), son of William Nickerson and Mercy Williams

DELIVERANCE LOMBARD, daugher of Caleb Lombard


William died between 19 October and 15 November 1742. He married first Deliverance, the daughter of Caleb and Deliverance Lombard. [WSC1][NENS1] He married second Anna Atwood, the daughter of Eldad Atwood and Anna Snow on 24 October 1717. [NENS0][WSC1] She married second as his second wife Benjamin Bearse ion 25 August 1747 in Chatham. [NENS1] Benjamin married first Sarah Cobb and they were the grandparents of the Sarah who married William's grandson Gideon Nickerson. [NENS1]

Deliverance Lombard died about 1716. [NENS1]

William was styled ensign. [NENS1] He was a selectman for two years. [NENS1] He was in the business of tanning hides. [NENS1]

William wrote a codicil to his will on 19 October 1742. His estate was probated on 15 November 1742. His will names his sons with Deliverance (William, Caleb, James, Joshua, Nathaniel), their deceased daughter Elizabeth, the wife of Thomas Atkins, their daughter Mercy the wife of Seth Paddock. It also names his children with Anna: Eldad, Deborah the wife of William Padishall, and Anna, the wife of Jonathan Crowell. [NENS1]
