II-E-10. LOUISE SOLOMON SIBERT (1887 – 1975), daughter of George Moore Sibert3 (George2, John David1)
Louise Solomon Sibert was born on 6 August 1887. [1][2] She died on 11 October 1975. [2] She married George Clarence Patterson on 5 June 1907. [1] George was the son of John Anderson and Mary Frances (Owens) Patterson. [3][4] He was born on 4 November 1882 in McCormick County, South Carolina. [2][3][4][5][6] He died on 28 February 1970, aged 87, in Greenwood, Greenwood County, South Carolina. [2][3][5] Louise and George are buried in the McCormick City Cemetery in McCormick, McCormick County. [2]
According to his death certificate, George was a merchant, with a clothing store. At the time of his death, he was living in McCormick, McCormick County and was married to Louise Sibert. He was buried in the McCormick City Cemetery. The informant was [his wife] Mrs. G.C. Patterson. [3] According to his obituary, George owned and operated Patterson's Clothing Store for 53 years. He was survived by his wife, Louise Sibert Patterson, his daughter, Mrs. Margaret P. Shuler of Orangeburg, his son George William Patterson of McCormick, and four grandchildren. [4]
According to his 1918 World War I draft registration card, George was a salesman at T.J. Price Company. His nearest relative was his wife, Louise S. Patterson. [6]
According to the census, between 1910 and 1950, George and Louise lived in McCormick in (now) McCormick, County. They and their children were born in South Carolina. On 19 April 1910, George C., aged 26, and Louise, aged 22, lived with their daughter Margaret F., aged nine months. They had been married two years and Louse had had one child. George was a salesman at a general store. On 6 January 1920, Geo. C., aged 37, and Louise, aged 32, lived with their daughter Margaret, aged ten, and their son William, aged three. George was a merchant with a dry goods store. On 4 April 1930, "Clarence," aged 46 and Louise, aged 41, lived with their daughter Margaret, aged 20, and their son William, aged 14. George was a merchant with a clothing store. On 10 April 1940, Louise's widowed sister Leon lived with G.C., aged 57, and Lou, aged 52. On 19 April 1950, Leon and Louise's widowed brother John L. George was the proprietor of a men's clothing store. [7]

II-E-10-a. Margaret Frances Patterson was born on 2 July 1909 in South Carolina. [1][2] She died on 21 December 1985. [2] She married Franklin Pascallis Shuler on 3 April 1941. [8] He was the son of Wyman E. and Blonde (Barton) Shuler. [9] He was born on 13 March 1921 in Elloree, Orangeburg County, South Carolina. [2][9] He died on 1 February 1999. [2][9] He married second Ruth ___. [9] Margaret and Franklin are buried in the Santee First Baptist Cemetery in Elloree. [2]
At the time of her marriage, Margaret was a school teacher. [8]
Franklin went to the Citadel. [8][9] He played professional baseball. [8][9]
Franklin was a sales representative for a brokerage company. [9]
II-E-10-b. George William Patterson born 18 March 1916 in McCormick. [1][10] He died on 23 January 1989, aged 72, in Edgefield County. [11] He married Martha Frances Johnson on 21 December 1940. [12] Martha was the daughter of Lynwood M. Johnson and Mary McWhite. [13, Ellen McWhite][14] She was born on 8 May 1915 in Edgefield, Edgefield County. [14] She died on 1 August 2007, aged 92, in Edgewood County. [13]
According to his obituary, George was the son of George Clarence and Louise (Sibert) Patterson and the husband of Martha Johnson Patterson. He served in the U.S. Army in World War II. He was a retired merchant. [11]
According to his World War II draft registration card, George worked for the State Highway Department. His contact was his mother. [10]
George and Martha had three [possibly living] children. [13]
