Elizabeth Knapp (b. 1655), daughter of James Knapp and Elizabeth Warren
Samuel was born say 1648. He married first Elizabeth Knapp on 11 September 1674 in Cambridge. [1, 2:349]
Elizabeth, the daughter of James and Elizabeth Knapp, was born on 21 (2) 1655 in Watertown. [2, 1:17]
Children of Samuel Scripture and Elizabeth Knapp:
i. Samuel Scripture was born on 4 (8) 1675 in Cambridge. [1, 1:213] He died between 14 October and 15 November 1755. Samuel married Mary Green of Watertown on 8 February 1699/1700 in Concord. [3, 2:152] She may have been Mary Pierce, who married first John (?) Green. [4] Mary, the wife of Samuel died on 25 September 1723 in Groton. [3, 2:265] He married second Elizabeth Unknown.
Samuel Scripture, husbandman of Groton, wrote his will on 10 June 1754. He mentioned his wife Elizabeth and the heirs of his son Samuel. He added a codicil on 14 October 1755. An executor was appointed on 15 November 1755. [5]
ii. Elizabeth Scripture was born on 15 August 1677 in Concord. [6, 20]
ii. Mary Scripture was born on 7 February 1680 in Cambridge. She died on 29 July 1761. She married Eleazar Lawrence.
iii. Sarah Scripture was born on 8 February 1682 in Cambridge. [1, 1:213]
iv. Deborah Scripture married Jonathan Whitcomb at Concord on 4 September 1710. [3, 2:152]
v. Abigail Scripture was born on 28 January 1686/7 in Cambridge. [1, 1:212] She died [presumably from complications of childbirth] on 4 February 1721/2. [7] She married Phinehas, the son of Samuel and Mary (Carder) Parker. [7] Phinehas died on 13 August 1744, age 63. [7] He married second Elizabeth (Wilder) Bowers on 14 June 1722. [7] Elizabeth was the widow of John Bowers and the daughter of Nathaniel and Mary (Sawyer) Wilder, born on 14 February 1681. [7]
