THOMAS PROCTOR (1698–1744), son of Samuel Proctor and Sarah Unknown

HANNAH BARRON (b. 1703), daugher of Isaac Barron and Sarah Goodwin


Thomas, the son of Samuel and Sarah Proctor, was born on 12 December 1698 in Chelmsford. [Ref] He died on 3 September 1744, age 75, in Westford. [Ref] He married Hannah Barron after 23 December 1722 (intention) in Chelmsford. [Ref] Thomas and Hannah are buried in the Fairview Cemetery in Westford. [3]

Hannah, the daughter of Isaac and Sarah Barron, was born on 14 October 1703 in Chelmsford. [Ref]

Westford was a part of Chelmsford until 1729.

Thomas Proctor and Hannah, his wife, were admitted to communion on 25 Februarya 1728 in the church in Westford. [Ref]

Children of Thomas Proctor and Hannah Barron:

i. Philip Proctor was born on 3 January 1725/6 in Chelmsford. [Ref][Ref] He died on 27 February 1759, age 32, in Westford. [Ref] He married Phebe Hildreth on 10 February 1746/7 in Westford. [Ref][Ref] Phebe, the daughter of Joseph and Phebe Hildreth, was born about 1722. She died on 13 August 1762, age 40, in Westford. [Ref]

On 6 Sepember 1747, Philip Proctor and Phebe, his wife, by confession of fornication—the church heard such confessions regularly—were restored to the favor of the church in Westford. Philip owned the covenant the same day. He was admitted to full communion on 17 May 1751. [Ref]

ii. Lucy Proctor was born on 10 February 1732/3 in Westford. [Ref] She was baptized on 12 January 1733 in the church in Westford. [Ref] She married Eleazer Dows of Billerica after 4 March 1763 (intention) in Westford. [Ref] Eleazer, the son of Ebenezer and Mary Dows, was born on 26 December 1734 in Billerica. [Ref]

Lucy Proctor was admitted to communion of 17 July 1757 in the church in Westford. [Ref]

iii. Captain Leonard Proctor was born on 5 January 1734/5 in Westford. He was baptized on 12 January 1735 in the church in Westford. He died on 3 January 1827 in Cavendish. He married first Lydia Nutting. He married second Mary Keep.

iv. Olive Proctor was born on 22 January 1737/8 in Westford. [Ref] She was baptized on 29 January 1738 in the church in Westford. [Ref] She married Oliver Fletcher after 7 July 1759 (intention) in Westford. [Ref] Oliver, the son of Samuel Fletcher, Jr., was baptized on 22 June 1735 in the church in Westford. [Ref]

Oliver Fletcher and Olive, his wife, of Groton, owned the covenant on 16 November 1760 in the church in Westford. [Ref]
