90. DANIEL COMSTOCK (c. 1645–by 1683) (William)
Daniel Comstock was born say 1645. He died before 13 November 1683. He married Paltiah, the daughter or stepdaughter of John Elderkin. [1]
Daniel Comstock was the son of William Comstock and the son-in-law of John Elderkin. He inherited his father’s land in New London. [2]
Daniel and other young men were arrested for giving a false Indian alarm on 24 June 1648 in Providence. [3]
On 19 December 1658 New London gave Daniel Comstock 100 acres of upland by Sawmill Brook. [4]
By a deed of 4 December 1694 William Comstock (the son of John of Lyme) and Daniel Comstock of New London (the son of Daniel of New London) conveyed land at Nyantic which was given to their grandfather William Comstock, deceased, by the town of New London. [5]
Inventory on Daniel’s estate was taken on 13 November 1683 and administration was given to his widow Paltiah. [6]
91. PALTIAH ELDERKIN (say 1650–after 1683) (John)
Paltiah Elderkin was born say 1650. She died after 13 November 1683, when she was granted administration on her husband’s estate. She married Daniel Comstock.

i. Daniel Comstock was baptized on 9 April 1671. He died between 14 May 1742, when he made his will, and 28 May 1746, when it was proved. He married Elizabeth Prentice. [8]
Daniel mentioned his wife’s brother Thomas Prentice in his will. [9]
ii. Mary Comstock was baptized on 9 April 1671.
iii. Sarah Comstock was baptized on 9 April 1671.
iv. Hannah Comstock married John Forsyth. [10]
v. Hope Comstock was baptized on 9 April 1671.
vi. Zipporah Comstock was baptized on 9 April 1671.
vii. Elizabeth Comstock was baptized on 9 April 1671.
viii. Bethiah Comstock was baptized on 9 April 1671. She married Daniel, the son of John and Margaret Stebbins. [11]
ix. Anne Comstock (#45) was probably born about 1661. She died after 20 February 1726. She married Ebenezer Billings.
x. Rebecca Comstock married Daniel, the son of John Stebbins, on 31 May 1675 in New London. [12]
xi. Kingsland Comstock was baptized on 2 November 1673. He died before 1722. He married Mary Unknown. Mary died before 14 October 1753, when her will was proved. [13]
xii. Patience Comstock was baptized on 26 November 1673.
xiii. Samuel Comstock was baptized on 15 July 1677. He died on 11 April 1757 in Montville. He married first Sarah Douglas on 22 June 1699 in New London. She died on 1 April 1704 in New London. He married second Martha Jane Whittlesey on 22 May 1705 in New London. She died on 12 December 1756, age 85, in New London. [14]
