GEORGE BRUCE (d. 1692)

ELIZABETH CLARK (1642–1710), daughter of William Clark and Margery Unknown

George Bruce (or Brush) died on 22 July 1692 in Woburn. [1][2, 13 August, an error] He married Elizabeth Clark on 20 December 1659 in Woburn. [2] Elizabeth was the daughter of William Clark. [3]

Elizabeth Clark was born on 26 November 1642 in Watertown. [3][4] She died on 13 August 1710 in Woburn. [2]

George's last name was spelled Brush, but his descendants spell it as Bruce.

On 27 February 1665/6 George was admitted as a resident and commoner of Woburn. [3]

George apparently died intestate. Inventory on his estate was taken on 13 August 1692. It amounted to £370-17-06, with debts of £52-08-10. The widow and four oldest children —William John, Mary, and Elizabeth—reached on agreement on the settlement of the estate on 8 December 1692. John Bruce, along with Isaac Walker and Samuel Knowles, posted bond on 3 January 1692/3. [1]
