Henry Tilly of Henlow was born say 1465. He died between 1 September 1520, when he made his will, and 4 December 1520, when it was proved. He had a wife named Johan who was living in 1520.

Children of Henry Tilly:

i. Thomas Tilly was born say 1490.

ii. William Tilly was born say 1495. He was alive and apparently unmarried when he was executor of his father's will on 4 December 1520.

Thomas Tilly of Henlow was born say 1490. He died between 21 August 1556, when he made his will, and 6 October 1556, when it was proved. He had a wife named Margaret who was living in 1556.

Children of Thomas Tilly:

i. Agnes Tilly was born say 1510. She was apparently living, with children, in 1556.

ii. William Tylle was born say 1515.

William Tylle, a husbandman of Henlow, was born say 1515. He was buried on 21 January 1578/9 in Henlow. He had a wife named Agnes who was buried on 7 June 1582 in Henlow.

William made his will on 1 January 1578/9; it was proved on 28 January 1578/9. Agnes made her will on 1 June 1582; it was proved on 13 July 1582.

Children of William Tylle:

i. Elizabeth Tylle (possibly Agnes's daughter from a previous marriage) was born say 1535. She married Richard Huckle before 1559.

ii. Robert Tilley was born say 1540.

iii. Mary Tylle was born say 1545. She was buried on 5 May 1585 in Henlow. She married William Warde, a tailor of Henlow. He was buried on 6 February 1578/9 in Henlow. She married second Thomas Younge, a bowstring maker of Henlow, about 1579. He was buried on 26 April 1628 in Henlow. He married second Joan Petchett on 19 January 1588/9 in Henlow. He married third the widow Agnes (Packer) Fentiman on 12 July 1623 in Henlow.

iv. Alice Tylle was born say 1550. She married William Sheffield before 1574.

Robert Tilley, yeoman of Henlow, was born say 1540. He was buried on 21 February 1612/3 in Henlow. He married Elizabeth ___ about 1570.

Children of Robert and Elizabeth Tilley: All baptized at Henlow

i. John Tilley was baptized on 19 December 1571.

ii. Rose Tilley was baptized on 8 May 1574. He married John Goods on 24 June 1599 in Henlow.

iii. George Tilley was baptized on 26 January 1576/7. He died between 1582 and 1612.

iv. Agnes Tilley was baptized on 6 March 1579/80. She died between 1582 and 1612.

v. Elizabeth Tilley was baptized on 26 January 1582/3. She was living in 1612 and was possibly buried on 20 February 1624/5 in Henlow. She probably married the widower Richard Austin on 15 December 1608 in Henlow. Richard, the son of William and Mary (Bromeham) Austin alias Kent, was baptized on 11 February 1587/8 in Henlow.

vi. William Tilley was baptized on 1 September 1585. He was buried on 18 January 1624/5 in Henlow. He married Elizabeth Peppitt on 11 November 1612 in Henlow. She perhaps married second as his second wife Robert Goare on 12 November 1635 in Henlow. He was buried on 14 June 1639 in Henlow.

vii. Edward Tilley was baptized on 27 May 1588 (as Edmond). He died in 1621 in Plymouth, Massachusetts. He married Agnes Cooper on 20 June 1614 in Henlow.

viii. Alice Tilley was baptized on 28 February 1590/1. She was buried on 29 July 1597 in Henlow.
