Thomas Judd
Thomas Judd was born about 1608 in England. [caro] His wife and the mother of his children died about 1678 in Farmington. [caro] He subsequently married the widow Clemence Mason. [caro] She died on 22 November 1696, leaving her estate to her stepson Samuel. [caro]
Thomas was admitted to the church in Farmington on 13 October 1652. He was was admitted about a week later. [church]
Children of Thomas Judd: John (age 17), Benjmain (age 15), Mary (age 13), Ruth (age 11), Philip (age eight), and Samuel (age six) were baptized in Farmington about March 1657. Philip and Ruth had already been baptized in Hartford. The Farmington baptismal records give their ages. [church]
i. Elizabeth Judd was born in 1633/6. [caro] It is uncertain whether she or William was the eldest. [caro]
ii. William Judd was born in 1633/6. [caro]
iii. Thomas Judd was born about 1638. [caro]
iv. John Judd was born about 1640.
John and his wife were members of the church in Farmington on 1 March 1679/80. [church]
v. Benjamin Judd was born about1642 in Hartford. He married Mary Lewis.
vi. Mary Judd was born about 1644.
vii. Ruth Judd was born about 1646. She was baptized on 7 February 1646 in Hartford. [town]
viii. Philip Judd was born about 1649. He was baptized on 2 September 1649 in Hartford. [town]
Philip was admitted to the church in Farmington on 6 March 1680/1. [church]
ix. Samuel Judd was born about 1651. He cared for his father and his stepmother in their old age. [caro]
Samuel was admitted to the church in Farmington on 20 January 1711/2. [church]
