Deacon John Doane


In 1644 the Court granted land to "those that goe to dwell at Nausett [Eastham]." John was an early settler of Eastham and his name appears on a 22 May 1655 list of inhabitants. [FSE]

Children of Deacon John Doane:

i. John Doane married Hannah Bangs on 30 April 1662. [FSE]

John Doane, Jr. was amitted an inhabitant of Eastham before 1675. [FSE]

ii. Deacon Daniel Doane "is believed to have" married first Constant Snow. [JAS]

Daniel Doane, Sr. was amitted an inhabitant of Eastham before 1675. [FSE]

iii. Ephraim Doane married Mary Knowles.

iv. Lydia Doane married Samuel, the son of Robert Hicks ,on 11 September 1645 in Plymouth. [gmb]
