William Shackford (c. 1640–1720)

Deborah Trickey (c. 1646–aft. 1718), daughter of Thomas Trickey


William Shackford was born about 1640. He died in 1720 in Newington. [1] He married Deborah Trickey. [2]

Deborah Trickey was born about 1646.

William was a farmer and house carpenter. [1]

William Shackford was taxed at Bloody Point (later Newington), New Hampshire in 1662 to 1672. [3] He took the oath of allegiance on 21 June 1669. [3]

William deposed that he was 78 on 22 April 1718. [4] Deborah, the wife of William Shackford and the daughter of Thomas Trickey of Bloody Point deposed that she was 72 on 5 June 1718. [4]

William Shackford and Nichoas Harris settled a dispute in 1707. [3]

Children of William Shackford and Deborah Trickey:

i. Samuel Shackford was born about 1674. He died before 11 March 1730/1. He married first Abigail Richards. He married second the widow Frances Peabody.

ii. John Shackford married Sarah Hudson about 1697 in Portsmouth. [5]

John Shackford and Samuel Shackford (for the widow Richards) were on a 1711 list of inhabitants of Portsmouth entitled to a share in the distribution of the commons. [5]

iii. Joshua Shackford married Elizabeth Unknown. [1]

Joshua lived in Newington. [1]
