Jacob Warren (b. 1642), son of Arthur Warren and Mary Unknown

Mary Hildreth (c. 1650–1730), daughter of Richard Hildreth and Elizabeth Unknown


Jacob, the son of Arthur Warren, was born on 26 (8) [October] 1642 in Weymouth. [1] He married Mary Hildreth on 21 June 1667 in Chelmsford. [2]

Mary, the daughter of Richard Hildreth and Elizabeth ___, was born about 1650. [3] She was probably the widow Mary who died on 17 December 1730 in Chelmsford. [2]

An entry in Reverend John Fiske's notebook for 8 (12) 1673 [February 1673/4] says, "Jacob Warren and Mary Warren these two admitted to full communion this day in our church and they and 2 children, infants, which they resigned to the watch of this church, Jacob and Joseph." [4]

Jacob was a freeman in Chelmsford on 11 March 1673/4. [5]

Children of Jacob and Mary Warren:

i. Deacon Jacob Warren was probably born about 1668. He died on 3 September 1727 in Plainfield. He married Sarah Unknown.

ii. Joseph Warren was born on 25 (8) [October] 1670 in Chelmsford. [2] He married Ruth Wheeler on 11 March 1696 in Chelmsford. [2]

iii. Elizabeth Warren was born on 3 March 1674 in Chelmsford. [2] She married Nathaniel Blodgett on 17 July 1695 in Chelmsford. [2]

iv. Mary Warren married William Blodgett on 14 June 1696 in Chelmsford. [2]
