iii. John Brock was born about 1536 in Wallen, co. Essex. He died on 28 October 1582. [3]

John made his will on 6 September 1582; it was proved on 30 October 1582. [3]

iv. Robert Brock was born about 1540 in Little Leighs. [3]

v. Richard Brock was born about 1544 in Little Leighs. [3]

vi. George Brock was born about 1546 in Little Leighs. [3]

vii. Jeffrey Brock was born about 1548 in Little Leighs. [3]

John Bedell was of Notley, co. Essex. [1]

i. Margery Bedell married William Brock.

Second Generation

 WILLIAM BROCK (d. 1598/9) of Bacted, co. Essex and Colchester, co. Essex

William Brock was the son of John Brock and Agnes Wiseman. [1] He died between 17 July 1598, when he signed his will, and 13 June 1599, when it was proved. [1] He married first Margery Bedell. [1] He married second Elizabeth Maidstone on 11 January 1574 in Boxted, co. Essex. [3]

 MARGERY BEDELL (d. bef. 1574)

Margery was the daughter of John Bedell. [1]

Children of William Brock and Margery Bedell:

i. Bartholomew Brock died between 18 January 1617, when he signed his will, and 26 June 1618, when it was proved. [1] He married first Elizabeth, the daughter of Sir Ralph Wiseman. [1] He married second Elizabeth, the daughter of Nicholas Garnham. [1]

ii. William Brock is mentioned in her father's will and his brother Bartholomew's will.

iii. Mary Brock died after 23 September 1620. She married John Reeve.

iv.–v. Two Daughters, one married ___ Saunter. [1]

vi. Robert Brock is mentioned in his father's will. [1]

Third Generation

JOHN REEVE (d. 1620/1) of Bocking, co. Essex and Gosfield, co. Essex

John Reeve died between 23 September 1620, when he signed his will, and 9 January 1621, when it was proved. [1] He married Mary Brockon 24 October 1588 in Gosfield. [1]

John describes himself as a yeoman of Bocking. [4]

MARY BROCK (d. aft. 1620)

Mary was the daughter of William Brock and Margery Bedell. [1] She died after 23 September 1620, when she is mentioned in her husband's will. [1]

Children of John Reeve and Mary Brock:

i. John Reeve died between 5 January 1658, when he signed his will, and 20 March 1661, when it was proved. [1]

John's brother-in-law Thomas Fitch left him 20 shillings in his will. [5]

John Fitch, yeoman of Bocking, bought land from Henry and John Bigg on 11 February 1630. [6]

He may be the John Reeve who witnessed his nephew Jeremy Fitch's prenuptual agreement in 1658. [7]

He may be the John Reeve of Bocking, gentleman, who purchased land from Jeremy Fitch in 1659. [8]

ii. Jeremy Reeve is mentioned in his father's will and his brother John's will. [1, p. 35]

Jeremy's brother-in-law Thomas Fitch left him 20 shillings in his will. [5]

He may be the Jeremy Reeve of Dunton mentioned in Jeremy Fitch's prenuptual agreement in 1658. [7]

Jeremy Reeve, gentleman, sold land to Hezekiah Haynes on 15 November 1670. [9]

iii. Anne Reeve died on 20 January 1686 in Windsor, Connecticut. She married Thomas Fitch.

iv. Sarah Reeve is mentioned in her father's will. [1, p. 35]

v. Susan Reeve is mentioned in her father's will. [1, p. 35]
