GILES HOPKINS, son of Stephen Hopkins

Giles Hopkins married Catherine Weldon on 9 October 1639. [EAS0]

Giles of Eastham made his will on 19 January 1682/3, with a 5 March 1688/9 codicil, and it was proved on 16 April 1690. He mentions his wife "Catorne"; his sons Stephen, William, Caleb and Joshua. [EAS0]

Giles was chosen constable of Yarmouth on 7 March 1642/3. [PC01] He was chosen a surveyor of highways in Nauset on 4 June 1650. [PC02]

Children of Giles Hopkins:

i. Mary Hopkins was born in November 1640. She married Samuel Smith.

ii. Stephen Hopkins was born in September 1642.

Stephen is mentioned in the 1644 will of his grandfather Stephen Hopkins. [EAS0]

iii. John Hopkins was born in 1643 and died at three months. [EAS0]

iv. Abigail Hipkins was born in October 1644. [EAS0]

v. Deborah Hopkins was born in June 1646. [EAS0]

vi. Caleb Hopkins was born in January 1650/1. [EAS0]

vii. Ruth Hopkins was born in June 1653. [EAS0]

viii. Joshua Hopkins was born in June 1657. [EAS0]

ix. William Hopkins was born on 9 January 1660/1. [EAS0]

x. Elizabeth Hopkins was born in November 1664 and died at one month. [EAS0]
