ELIZABETH RING
Stephen Deane married Elizabeth Ring. [GPJC]
Elizabeth Ring died on 3 May 1687 in Eastham. [GPJC] The widow Elizabeth Deane married second Josias Cooke on 16 September 1635 in Plymouth. [GPJC]
Stephen was on a 2 January 7 Charles [1631/2] tax list in Plymouth. [RPC3]
Stephen was a freeman in Plymouth in 1633. [RPC0]
Stephen Deane petitioned the Governor and council to set up a water work "to beat corne upon the brooke adjoyning the town of Plymouth, for the benefit of the comon wealth. On 7 January 1632/3 the court noted that Stephen had agreed to the Governor and council's terms. [RPC2] He was on a 24 March 1633/4 Plymouth tax list. [RPC1] On 2 January 1633 Stephen Deane was told he could set up a larger water wheel at the town's expense, but he was to surrender his rights when the colony set up a grinding mill. [RPC6]
William Bradford, gentleman, as administrator of Godbert Godbertson's estate, sold Godbert's house to Stephen Deane for twenty pounds on 10 March 1633/4. [RPCG]

i. Susannah Deane married Stephen Snow.
ii. John Deane (posssible son)
John of Cohannett was on a 7 March 1636/7 list of freemen in Plymouth. [RPCK] He was on a grand inquest jury on 4 June 1639. [PC10] He was a deputy for Taunton on 2 June 1640. He was constable for Taunton on 6 June 1654. [PC18]
iii. Walter Deane (possible son)
Walter of Cohannett was on a 7 March 1636/7 list of freemen in Plymouth. [RPCK]
