MICHAEL METCALF (1645–1693), son of MICHAEL METCALF and MARY FAIRBANKS
ELIZABETH FULLER, daughter of THOMAS FULLER and HANNAH FLOWER
Michael, the son of Michael Metcalf and Mary Fairbanks, was born on 21 (12) 1644 in Dedham. [WBT] He died on 1 or 2 September 1693. [LMH] He married Elizabeth (Fuller) Kingsbury on 19 September 1672. [JWD]
Elizabeth was the daughter of Thomas Fuller. [JWD] Elizabeth, the wife of Michael, died on 24 October 1732. [LMH] She married first John Kingsbury. [JWD] John, the son of Joseph and Millicent Kingsbury, was born on 15 August 1643 in Dedham and died on 30 May 1669. [JWD]
Michael is on a 15 May 1690 list of freemen in Dedham. [DEDF]
Children of Michael Metcalf and Elizabeth Fuller:
i. Michael Metcalf was born on 9 May 1674. [LMH] He probably died unmarried. [LMH]
ii. Mary Metcalf was born on 3 October 1676. [LMH] She married Jeremiah Woodcock on 5 January 1699. [LMH]
iii. Thomas Metcalf was born on 3 January 1679. [LMH] He married Lydia Chickering. [LMH] Lydia, the daughter of Nathaniel and Lydia Chickering, was born on 1 December 1678. [LMH]
iii. Sarah Metcalf was born on 26 April 1682. [LMH] She married John Gay. [LMH]
iv. Eleazer Metcalf was born on 12 February 1684/5. He married Judith Rockwood.
v. Hannah Metcalf was born on 7 April 1687. [LMH] She married Thomas Stedman of Brookline on 18 November 1729. [LMH]
vi. Daniel Metcalf was born on 25 June 1691. He died on 29 January 1717, probably unmarried. [LMH]
vii. Elizabeth Metcalf married John Daman of Dedham. [LMH]
Elizabeth was named in her brother Michael's will, and both she and John Daman signedthe receipt for her legacy. [LMH]
John and Elizabeth's son George graduated from Harvard and was the fourth minister in Tisbury. [LMH]
