GEORGE KNOTT (d. 1648)

George Knott was buried on 3 May 1648. [MVRS]
Martha died between 27 October 1673 and 5 March 1673/4.
On 3 April 1636/7 the Court of Assistants agreed that ten men of Saugus [Lynn], including George Knott, had the liberty to view a place and have enough land for 60 families. [NBS1]
George received four acres of meadow land in Sandwich on 16 April1640. [SBCR][NSB1] He was appointed constable in Sandwich on 7 March 1642/3. [NBS2] He was on a grand jury on 2 June 1646. [NBS2]
The widow Knott and others of Sandwich were presented for not frequenting the public worship, contrary of an order of 6 June 1651. [NBS2]
On 1 January 1667 the widow Knott gave John Tobey an acre of land. [SBCR]
Martha Knott made her will on 27 October 1673. It was exhibited to the Court at Plymouth on 5 March 1673. She mentioned her son Samuel and her daughter Martha, the wife of Thomas Tobey. She made Thomas Tobey her executor. [PCWI]
Children of George Knott and Martha Unknown:
i. Martha Knott married Thomas Tobey.
ii. George Knott was living on 24 March 1709/10.
In his will of 24 March 1709/10, Thomas Tobey made it a condition of the inheritance of his sons Samuel and Nathan that they maintain their uncle George Knott. [BMPR]
iii. Samuel Knott was living on 27 October 1673.
